Perfect for the holidays (or during any season of the year), the Pom-Mosa is our fresh take on the popular morning beverage. You’re probably familiar with the famed Mimosa, made traditionally with sparkling wine and fresh-squeezed orange juice. For our signature cocktail, of course we thought it would be fitting to include pomegranate juice in the recipe!
While testing various concoctions to achieve the perfect taste, we discovered that the pomegranate juice alone made the drink a bit too tart. We eventually found that a splash of apple juice perfectly mellows out the flavor, lightens up the color and makes this drink simply too delicious to sip only at the breakfast table. St. Germain also adds an unexpected depth to the drink’s delightful finish.
But we saved the best for last… The cocktail’s most exciting ingredient is the rose-infused sugar rim, which is hand-muddled with fresh rose pedals to create a fragrant, beautiful and delicious display. And best of all, this drink is as easy to make as it is to enjoy!
Rose-infused sugar (use a mortar and pestle to muddle fresh rose petals and sugar together to desired color and taste)
2 oz. Apple Juice
1 oz. Pomegranate Juice
1/2 oz. St. Germain Elderflower Liquor
Directions: Rim a champagne flute with lime and dip in the rose-infused sugar. Fill glass halfway full with rosé. Add the apple juice, pomegranate juice and St. Germain. Enjoy.
But don’t forget to make a toast. Cheers!
