Continuing our napkin folding series, today I want to show you the simple bow. I recently used this one for my youngest daughter’s birthday party. We had a jam packed slumber party and this fancied up the breakfast after. I made a couple of quiches for the girls and set the table in bright, summery colors. Pomegranate’s Tulip Trot napkin and Baldwin Poppy napkin rings were just the right fit.
The girls came down in the morning just thrilled to see the grown-up feeling breakfast. I enjoyed that I was able to make the quiche before hand and setting up the table was a breeze. This fold may seem a little tricky, but once you’ve done the first one the others follow quickly!
Starting with a square napkin lay it out flat. Fold it into a triangle and then fold the open edge in just a little bit as shown.
Roll towards the folded triangle until you have one long roll. Fold the right and left side in, making a triangle of the roll.
Slide a napkin ring over until it sits in the middle. Fluff out the corners and the bottom pieces until it forms the perfect bow shape.
And there you have it! An adorable yet ornate napkin that guests of all ages will love.
