Continuing our napkin folding series, today I present the Fleur de Lis. I love that this simple touch can add instant elegance to any table! When I’m pressed for time to make a striking tablescape, the easiest thing to do is make the napkin pop. Great restaurants do this for a reason — it simply makes any table more elegant. This particular fold is great because it adds easy sophistication in a short amount of time.
Fleur De Lis Folding Technique
Fold the napkin in half the long way. Bring the right corner down to the center and then do the same with the left. Bring the lower right corner up to the center top and repeat with the left.
Fan out the top corners and slide a napkin ring on from the bottom. Fluff and adjust the napkin until it’s perfect. And that’s it! Finito!
I especially like that this adds height to any place setting. It’s so easy to do and really makes the table unique. I used Pomegranate’s Lyford Shell and Provence Blue Napkins, but it would look amazing with any pattern available. I hope that you enjoyed this quick tip, and I would love to hear any suggestions you have for how you quickly set your table!
